How does it work?

Plasma Elite can also work in a similar way to an ablative laser by carrying out a technique called skin resurfacing. Targeting several skin cells with the energy source, damaging very specific cells, thereby encouraging new cell growth and renewal of larger areas. This can not only improve skin tone and texture, but can also help reduce scarring and improve a number of common skin concerns and improve skin contouring.

The Science.

Plasma is the fourth state of matter. it is comprised of an ionized gas charged with equal amounts of negative and positive charged ions and negative charged electrons. Plasma is formed through the ionizations of these gases when it hits the atmosphere. At the right distance from the skin, the energy ionizes the oxygen and nitrogen in the air to create a small electrical arc, similar to a tiny lightning bolt. When the plasma arc hits the skin, it vaporizes any liquid in the skin at the point of contact. The surrounding skin contracts into the area and tightens around it giving a shrinking and lifting effect. This is called sublimation. Even though skin layers get vaporized by the plasma, they do not burn off. They simply flake off at a later date as part of the healing process. Fibroblasts in the skin are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin, healing the skin over the next few weeks and providing an additional tightening effect.

Aftercare
  1. Plasma Care Cleaning Solution - This is a solution to be used regularly to make sure the area is clean and free from bacteria. In hospitals this solution is used for wound irrigation. It is not a cleanser for removing makeup.   We now use the Clinisept 100 ml solution for skin for cleansing

Plasma Care Healing Balm - This is an innovative product especially created for Dry Healing as required by Plasma treatments and some other services such as semi permanent and micro blading.Dry Healing Balm reduces Itching and irritation, it is a mild anesthetic and a product that protects against infection and restores the skins natural balance whilst aiding dry healing. Available in retail size of 15 ml and salon size of 50 ml

  3. Protect our Skin Cream with Factor 50 - 5 star UV Rating - A highly effective broad spectrum sunscreen, hypoallergenic and not tested on animals. Specifically tested to protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays which is essential after a plasma treatment when your skin is vulnerable. We recommend you always wear sun protection to keep the skin safe and prevent the signs of ageing.

The skin will be sensitive for a short time afterwards so you need to avoid the treatment site being rubbed or scratched, keeping the treatment site covered away from sunlight will help and avoid activities like swimming and intense exercise for the first 24-48 hours post treatment.
