IPL  - PHOTO SKIN REJUVENATION.

If your looking to improve your complexion then our IPL skin rejuvenation treatment could be for you, it's great for smoothing out the tone and texture of your skin and reversing any signs of aging.

Skin Conditions we treat...

Rosacea, Age / Sun spots & Freckles, Fine lines / Wrinkles, Large pores, Broken capillaries / spider veins / facial redness, Acne.

How does it work?

IPL (intense pulsed light) is a non-invasive skin treatment that is used to improve a variety of skin conditions. A handheld device is used to deliver brief pulses of light over the skin.  The treatment is comfortable, often described as a warm/sting like sensation and the best part is there is minimal downtime, most of our clients continue with their usual daily activities within 24hrs, ensuring they follow the aftercare advice given.

Anti Aging - When treating skin to reverse signs of aging, the skin absorbs the Intense pulsed light, as the light passes through the skin’s epidermis and penetrates deeper into the dermis, the pulsed light energy heats up and stimulates cells called fibroblasts to encourage the production of fresh collagen. Over the course of treatments most clients notice clearer/fresh looking skin with improved texture, tone and reduction of fine lines/wrinkles.

Our most popular areas to be treated are face, neck, chest and hands.

Sun/Age spots & Freckles - These will rapidly absorb the light converting it to heat energy, causing the destruction of the melanin-rich cells.

Facial Redness - The light will target the hemoglobin in blood vessels, the light is absorbed by the hemoglobin, causing the vessels to heat up and collapse, over time, the small broken vessels disappear, reducing redness.

Acne - When the skin absorbs the light it heats up and destroys acne-causing bacteria, The light reduces inflammation by targeting blood vessels that cause redness and swelling and reduces the activity of sebaceous glands that produce oil.

How many treatments?

Most clients will require 3-6 regular treatments to achieve optimum results, we recommend that you come in once a month, however in a few cases we may recommend treatments closer together at the start of your treatment program.

Consultation & Test Patch.

Before treatment can begin you will need to pop by for a consultation, this will give us the opportunity to discuss your skin concerns and we can make sure you are  fully aware of the treatment process and give you an idea of the results we could achieve.  You will have plenty of time to ask questions and decide if it's the right treatment for you.  We will ask you to complete a medical questionnaire and to sign a consent form.  If you decide you would like to start treatment you will need a test patch prior to treatment starting,  this only takes a few minutes and can be done at your consultation.  We will put together a customised treatment plan for you and book your first treatment, this is usually the following week after your test patch.

Aftercare.

Skin can be slightly pink after treatment, in most cases this settles within 48hrs.  We always apply Aloe Vera after your treatment and recommend you do the same at least twice a day for seven days following your treatment. It is essential for you to avoid any sun exposure and to keep your skin protected.   We recommend using a factor 30 or higher, if you do develop a tan we will need to postpone treatment until your skin has returned to its normal colour.  But don't worry, we will go over your full aftercare and pre-treatment advice at your consultation and give you copies of the info to take away for your reference.

Costs.
